Chris Mackenzie Jones is the author of Behind the Book, a book that traces the publishing paths of eleven debut authors. He has spent the past ten years working at the Loft. In his time there, he has met numerous aspiring and successful writers, and he believes that all writers can learn valuable lessons through example, which is why he wrote the book. Chris is also a published poet and received his MFA from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
At the Loft, he works on organizational outreach, media relations, brand management, marketing and promotion, and print/video/Web design and development. He also is in charge of the Loft's annual Wordsmith Conference. He lives in Saint Paul and, despite consistent ridicule, continues to long for year-round winter.
